A minimum of 50% in the aggregate from a recognized board in the 10+2 or equivalent test is required for admission to an online B.Com program. Those who qualify as SC/ST candidates may receive a 5% grade relaxation.
The course structure for the B.Com Hons program is intended to be more specific. The theory sections covered by the Bachelor of Commerce Honours and BCom degrees are comparable; however, the B.Com Honours degree is more focused on specialization than it is on providing a general overview of the disciplines of finance, accounting, insurance, and management.
It is possible to enroll in a B.Com program without having to understand math. However, every BCom curriculum must include some basic high school level maths in every major course such as accounting or finance.
Upon graduating, B.Com graduates have opportunity to follow different careers. For example, they may decide to pursue other degrees in their field of studies which may include CA, CS or even MBA. Another option for them would be finding employment with multinationals and fancy banks such as those in the city.
Students pursuing commerce degrees may adopt CA as good option for employment after B.Com. CA allows students to register immediately after graduating from high school while an MBA does not.
